Gasketed plate heat exchanger , composed of many heat exchange plates (thin metal plate punched with different corrugation pattern ) which is enclosed by complete gasket, tightened together by clamping bolt. The port hole on the plate form a continuous flow path , the media runs into the path from the inlet and is distributed into main heat exchange area . As there is gasket (for the purpose
of sealing ) on each plate , and the plate is assembled in certain alteration, thus the two kinds of fluid is possible to
go into their own path respectively and is separated by the plate.Generally, the two fluids flow in countercurrent in the path, the hot fluid transfer heat to the plate, and the plate transfer the heat to the cold fluid on the other side, therefore the hot fluid is cooled down and the cold fluid is heated-up.
